My Journal : Nikhil Shembekar

Nikhil Shembekar (aka Niks aka Maha Lota)

Wing B's Most Wanted

Our relationship will always be one that I’ll cherish throughout my life.
In the first year we were in the same wing & I remember you as someone very “stylish” & very friendly. We were not very good friends then, you were friends with Venky & thus I came to know you very well. (Who can forget the wonderful female you had as your G.F!) I was really J of you at that time!!

My Quiz Partner

In second year I really came to be very nice friends with you. We also became quiz partners at that time. (Remember second prize at MAFFICK). You also came to our meet & it was nice that you helped us out in trouble at that time. (Remember the punctures!) AD –How can I forget that meet. ;-))
I guess in that year you came to my place.

Nikhil - After winning the Antakshri

Third year was wonderful, we won the second place in the inter-collegiate, (what a wonderful comeback that was) & then of course “Saarang” will always remain etched forever in our memories. That trip was really fabulous & I enjoyed every moment of it. (Golden Beach & the “Dropped Camera”, Antakshari, G.T. Express).
Organising MAFFICK ’98 was a terrific experience. I think our quiz will go down as one of the most fabulous events ever in MACT. I really enjoyed every moment of it with you.

The Gandhi Look

In the final year, I think we drifted a little apart. At that time each one of us was tense & worried so I think whatever happened at that time we should forget.
I had some of the nicest times with you. What else can I say? Remember the bigger things are always left unsaid!!

Modelling on Kaliasote Dam

Enjoy yourself in the future. Keep dancing & don’t get too emotional!
All the best for the future.
Keep in touch.

My Journal : Gaurav Tandon

Gaurav Tandon (aka Tandy aka Model)

Tands!

Dear AD alias Lambu alias AIDS,

Its part(y)ing time! Anyway, no senti writing here. I’m not going to write anything about you over here. Nor am I agoing to tell you about any of your qualities that I admire. And I’m certainly not telling you that you are a very friendly, helpful and EMOTIONAL (CHIMNEY Dhaba) person. If you think that I’m gonna write that you always have some innovative and lovely ideas creeping up in your mind – FORGET IT! ‘cause I’m not writing it here. I’ll definitely not let you know that I’ll always cherish the wonderful days that we’ve had here – all the wing treats, B’day celebrations, Job kickings, wing cricket and Maffick.

Well, when I’m hiding so many things from you, I think you deserve to know at least a few things. OK, I’ll justlet you know that you are not as eccentric as you think you are. I’ll always remember your pranks (especially with Chanakya!) and other ULTA-PULTA things you did.

Model

Do keep in touch in the future as well. Let us hope that we’ll meet again sometime – the world’s a very small place after all.

With Lots of Luv,

Gaurav Tandon

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Now comes the sequel! “THE BIG BANG”

Lambe A.D.,

You are going today!

Sob! Sob! Sob! I’m getting Senti.

Sob…Sob…Sob…Oh my God!

I just can’t help myself from laughing HA! HA! HA! HA!

I was giving BIG BIG fundas!

Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed all these days (especially the last ones) with you. It was great fun writing all those things on others’ doors during these last few days.

Though I tried my level best, you just wouldn’t budge –

(in Hindi) – ‘Tas se mas nahi hua – Abbe Abbe toh senti ho jaa, Thoda toh ro de – Bada mazaa aayega mujhe’ (just kidding!).

Studious

Before saying TATA – Bye Bye, I’ll just mention few lines I’ve composed right now (creativity, you know)

(in Hindi) - ‘Tum Chal diye apni raah,

Hum chal diye apni raah,

Reh gayi bas yaadon mein

Apni hostel ki who blah-blah!’

Thanks for the BIG Applause, but you know the modest me…..MTv ENJOY!

With Lots of Luv,

Gaurav Tandon

Smiling face

That’s the day I took the train out of Bhopal and said good bye to all my friends. Most of them I have not met after that day. I just wish them good luck and happiness always! -AD

My Journal : Satyajeet Singh Ahuja

Satyajeet Singh Ahuja (aka Sattu aka Godzilla Boss)

"Hello & Welcome to this PP(Pumpapur) Stadium. I am SA and with me is AD and we are here to tell you something about the pitch on which this match will be played."

These were the words that we have shared while describing the pitch each and every time, when we were playing together. While the others were making a mockery of us, we just ignored their comments. It was really a nice time with you : with a bat in my hand, ball in yours and a tense game (remember Hostel No.4 - Final)?!
We both really enjoyed Maffick as you were always with me when the box cricket was on...always helping me in every department of the game.

I appreciate your organising skills which you showed in Maffick '98. I always appreciate that you want to do what is in your mind and you never bother about others.
Do whatever you want but do it with perfection. I have seen you work and slog hard to reach the heights where you are now. Hope you achieve success in whatever you do & excel in the field of life forever.
Best of luck.

Yours
Ahuja

My Journal - My Word

Hi! This is the first of several posts I am going to do with the theme My Journal . This is the one in which all my friends wished me good luck at the end of our 4 years at MACT. Here is the introductory part I wrote. The posts that follow will carry excerpts of what people wrote in there. My comments would be in italics.

My Word

Let me not start from the beginning this time. And let me not plunge into a discourse on friendship. And whatever I do write down should not make you sentimental at all.
Four Years. Four long years and four short years. But time enough, I think.
You people have taught me so many things. In fact, helped me understand myself a lot better. And the way I see the world now is a lot different from before. Of course, towards the positive.
Each one of you is unique in your own way. And I have always tried to pick up all your positive traits and admire you.
We have shared so many moments together - happy, sad, exciting...(the list of adjectives can go on and on). All those moments are precious to me.
And now as we go our separate ways, to make the best of our lives, I would be grateful to you if you could pen down something for me. Something about yourself. Something about me (if you feel like it).
And please do not forget to put down your permanent address, email, telephone, DOB and other particulars.
Thanks a lot for everything and sorry if I have hurt your feelings.
Let us just prove our worth..show the world what we can do.
Lets just do it!

The very best of everything in life should be yours.

Love and Happiness Always,
AD (Anshu)
